He has more than 15 years’ experience writing, developing content, and informing marketing strategy—including branding, UX, SEO, PPC, social media, and email marketing—for hospitality, high tech, and higher education.
Prior to joining O’Rourke, Thijs was Digital Marketing Manager for the tech-conference startup Open Data Science Conference (ODSC), where he oversaw both content creation and event marketing campaigns. Before he joined ODSC, Thijs served for over a decade as Marketing Communications Specialist for the University of Massachusetts Boston, where he designed and managed integrated marketing campaigns that helped to drive dramatic new student enrollment increases.
In addition to his years of professional experience, Thijs earned a Master of Arts in English from the University of Massachusetts Boston and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of New Hampshire.← Back to Team
