With an increase in demand for luxury vacations, as well as more and more customers booking online, reservation recovery is now a crucial part of any property’s marketing strategy. Chateau Elan was mid-experiencing this need first-hand when it contacted O’Rourke to implement an optimized reservation recovery strategy. Moreover, the property wanted to retarget and re-engage guests who had previously shown a high level of interest, but had not yet booked.
O’Rourke worked to decipher traveler behavior, to better craft effecting retargeting and reservation recovery. We developed a strategy to better track customer behaviors and, among other approaches, targeted abandoned booking with an automated (and enticing) email inviting them to book.
